Hello again! Yahoo for Friday! I'm hoping today will be a smooth sailing work day, so I can get home and start tackling that to do list. I'm excited to be back today to wrap things up with my Jamaica trip. Instead, I'll be sharing my favorite bits from the Sandals & Beaches resorts I visited, along with my favorite rooms and beaches. Now remember all of this info is just on the resorts I visited, but there are really so many options, even within the Sandals & Beaches brand.

Wowzers, it is already Thursday! Don't get me wrong, that is a great thing! It's just, I have this mile long to do list, and I was hoping to knock out a bit more before the week was up. But luckily, I have a nearly free weekend (yahoo! those are few & far between). Anyway, I'm spending my lunch break learning more from Carnival Cruises Lines, and I can't wait to bring that knowledge here to you, my clients, but, for today, let's begin wrapping up my adventures in Jamaica exploring Sandals Resorts.
I've totally saved the best for last, my favorite anyway, Sandals Royal Caribbean in Montego Bay, Jamaica. This amazinggg resort has stunning ocean walkout rooms, stunning rooms with crystal lagoon walkouts, it's own fully stocked private island with a private clothing optional beach (totes sexy!), AND private over-the-water villas. Along with all of that beauty, the resort has decadent restaurants and trendy bars, nightly entertainment, and seven, that's right 7, pools, two of which have fun swim-up bars.
You can also take advantage of even more with your stay at Sandals Royal Caribbean with exchange privileges with Sandals Inn & Sandals Montego Bay. With complimentary shuttle service between these resorts, you can enjoy more restaurants, Sandals Inn's close proximity to Montego Bay's Hip Strip, and Sandals Montego Bay's STUNNING beaches! This area with Sandals Resorts is really an amazing option! If you are interested in Sandals Royal Caribbean, you can get a bit more info on my Sandals site, and you can book your own trip there. But if you would like more one-on-one care, I'd love for you to contact me, and we'll work together to create your dream trip! For now, enjoy a peek of this amazing property!
Hello! I hope your week is going well. I'm so happy we are at least half way through, but still a ways to go and lots to do. I'm excited to share another Sandals resort that I visited with you back in late August. This time we are headed back to Montego Bay. [Let me preface by saying, there was a rain drop on my camera lens, and I didn't realize it :( so ignore that blurred dot.]
I shared about Sandals Inn, formerly known as Sandals Carlyle, but Sandals Montego Bay is a whole other ball game! Sandals Montego Bay is located right near the airport, so close in fact they have a fun little airplane tradition there. The resort is located on a beautiful, long sandy beach, which was probably the most beautiful of all the resorts we visited. This resort has recently been renovated, and it is truly stunning! From the modern lounge areas and restaurants to the sleek & sexy bathrooms to the beautiful beach cabanas, no detail was left untouched. My favorite of all the rooms offers an outdoor patio tranquility soaking tub--so fancy! This gorgeous resort boasts one of the most beautiful pools I've been with a stunning wall of greenery. Along with pools, they have whirlpools, saunas, and steamrooms--something for everyone.
As if the added water and land sports aren't enough, you can take advantage of even more with your stay at Sandals Montego Bay with exchange privileges with Sandals Inn & Sandals Royal Caribbean. With complimentary shuttle service between these resorts, you can enjoy more restaurants, Sandals Inn's close proximity to Montego Bay's Hip Strip, and Sandals Royal Caribbean private island! This area with Sandals Resorts is really an amazing option! If you are interested in Sandals Montego Bay, you can get a bit more info on my Sandals site, and you can book your own trip there. But if you would like more one-on-one care, I'd love for you to contact me, and we'll work together to create your dream trip! For now, enjoy a peek of this amazing property!
Here I am again! The week has certainly gotten away from me especially after such a fun weekend away! We strolled around the Big D having a grand ole time, and already making notes of things to do and see for another trip. I often forget how much these is to see and do right under my nose. I try to keep on top of exploring home and what is around me, but there is even more to be seen not too far away. I bet the same goes for you as well. Just pop in the car one morning, and see what you find, I'll bet you'll be surprised of the beauty and bounty of attractions nearby! Though I don't have things quite gathered together for recaps of our Dallas trip (soon though!), I do have just a couple more bits of my Sandals & Beaches Resorts site tours in Jamaica to share. Today I want to talk about one of my FAVE resorts we toured there, Sandals Royal Plantation in Ocho Rios.
This beauty is just that, royal! I was dazzled by this quaint resort's 1950's old world charm, rich & warm decor, and stunning grounds. This small resort features all butler and ocean view rooms, meaning each and every room, suite, and villa receives butler service AND stunning ocean views--talk about feeling like royalty! Sandals Royal Plantation boasts two private beaches complete with beach swings, beds, and cabanas. This royal resort has been featured on The Bachelor (with Ben & Lauren--these two canoodled in the Villa Plantana) and the gazebo over looking the ocean is seen the film License to Wed, as well as others.
Though the resort has just about anything you could want, you do have the option of visiting a nearby resort, Sandals Ochi, during the day with complimentary shuttle service. You can take advantage of their beaches, bars, restaurants, and activities. But don't worry, Sandals Ochi vacationers, can't come to Royal Plantation, making it that much more exclusive & royal! If you are interested in Sandals Royal Plantation, Villa Plantana please!, you can get a bit more info on my Sandals site, and you can book your own trip there. But if you would like more one-on-one care, I'd love for you to contact me, and we'll work together to create your dream trip! For now, enjoy these views of this stunning resort! Thank you so much for stopping by!
Hello again. Can you believe it is already Friday?! I'm looking forward to the weekend. We are planning a much needed little getaway to Dallas. I booked us a room at a swanky downtown hotel, and I'm excited to explore more of this great city, see new sights, and hopefully come back with lots more to share with you here. Speaking of booking hotel rooms, did you know that I can take care of those plans for you as well? Yep, just click the "Book Travel" button above, and I can get you started! Anyway, back to the task at hand! I'm excited to share more from Jamaica with you, and even more excited for today's particular resort, Beaches Ocho Rios. Sandals Resorts have amazing spots for couples in love, but Beaches is tailored for families. They have the most amazing amenities for all ages of the family! Let's take a look.
Beaches Ocho Rios is located on the most beautiful beach, I think my favorite out of all the ones I saw during my visit (although now I've added Negril, Jamaica's Seven Mile Beach to my bucket list)! This is a family friendly resort, perfect for any generation, including babies! Yes, babes are welcome, and day care with international licensed nannies is even offered, including services for special needs children! Seriously, when I learned that bit, I totally teared up! Who does that!? So awesome! With a kids camp, water park, craft studio, XBox room, arcade, and Seasame Street characters, including night-night tuck ins from the characters, Beaches Ocho Rios is perfect for any child, any age! Don't worry there's plenty for adults too, namely the swim up pool bar! What's not to love?! The resort offers multiple room types ranging anywhere from large family friendly to rooms for honeymooners--there's truly something for everyone! Along with the things above, Beaches also offers access to the golf course I mentioned earlier this week, non-motorized water sports, and other all inclusive amenities. By the time we left the resort, I was aching to have kids JUST so I could bring them to a Beaches Resort, that's huge! I've got the photo overload for this resort, and I hope you'll enjoy them!
You can view more information on my Sandals & Beaches Resorts sites, and you can book your own trip there. But if you would like more one-on-one care, I'd love for you to contact me, and we'll work together to create your dream trip! I'll be back next week with more Sandals Resorts! Have a great weekend! P.S. Be sure to follow me on Instagram to follow along on our weekend adventure!
Welcome back! I hope you had a fab weekend! Mine was super busy, but I got to see my sweet nephews, spend time with family, and "treasure hunt" while packing up my grandmother's home for her to make a big move! It's amazing the things we found while packing and cleaning up. I brought home quite a few things I can't wait to decorate with! I even got a few trips booked this weekend for clients, and gathered up more photos to share even more on Sandals with you. Today I want to take you for a ride on a golf cart around Sandals Golf Course & Country Club in Ocho Rios.
This fun spot is complimentary to guests staying at Sandals & Beaches Resorts in Jamaica, and is the perfect addition to any vacation. You can even get complimentary shuttle service from the Sandals & Beaches in the Ocho Rios area. This Par 71 course features 18 holes, fully stocked beverage carts, and an onsite restaurant & pro shop in the beautiful clubhouse. I didn't think a golf course could really wow me, but wow, is it gorgeous! From the lush landscaping to the stunning clubhouse, no detail is left untouched. The course is a must for any golf lover's, young or old, vacation! You can view more information on my Sandals & Beaches Resorts sites, and you can book your own trip there. But if you would like more one-on-one care, please contact me. I would love to help with your dream trip! I'll see you back later this week with more!
Hello! I hope your week is going well. I'm so happy it is finally Friday, but I do have a jam packed weekend ahead of me. I think it will be just as fun as it is busy though, so that totally makes it ok. :) I'm excited to share another Sandals resort that I visited with you. Today's resort has a completely different feel than any other Sandals property, but I totally love it!
Sandals Inn, formerly known as Sandals Carlyle, is a quaint little resort in Montego Bay, Jamaica. This bed & breakfast-esque resort is perfect for anyone looking for a charming, quiet, and reserved vacation, yet you can stay at Sandals Inn and play at Sandals Royal Caribbean and Sandals Montego Bay during the day. Sandals offers complimentary shuttle service between the three resorts, so you can take advantage of the amenities of all three. I'll be sharing more on those other two properties soon, but for now more on Sandals Inn.
This resort is located in the heart of Montego Bay, just a short walk down from the "Hip Strip", an area that features shopping and popular bars and restaurants. The resort features 4 room categories, all with complimentary 24 hour room service, leaving something for everyone. Sandals Inn is across the street from a small public beach, so you can still get those ocean views, but you can also shuttle to Sandals Royal Caribbean and Sandals Montego to take enjoy their private beaches. However, even if you want to stick around the resort, there is plenty to enjoy. The resort has 3 restaurants and 2 bars, a beautiful pool and whirlpool, and a stunning courtyard area where you can hear the sounds of the ocean.
I have added a stay at this sweet little property to my bucket list, and if you are into nice & quiet, you should too! Take a look at my photos of the resort below, and if you're dying to book a stay you can view more information on my Sandals Resorts site, and you can book your own trip there. But if you would like more one-on-one care, I would love to help you personally, just contact me. Wishing you a wonderful weekend. See you back next week!
Hello again! I hope you're having a beautiful Saturday morning. I've spent the last couple of days sharing about my stay at Sandals Ochi. I've shared the resort and the beautiful rooms, and today I want to wrap things up on Ochi with the stars of the resort, the pools & beaches! This stunning resort has a LOT of property which means there are tons of pool & beach options. With over 100 pools and 3 separate beach areas, there's something to pique every mood.
You've gotten a sneak peek at the beach from the photo above, and yes the water really IS that blue, but today you'll get to see a closer look. The largest pool at the resort is in the Great House area of the resort, and showcases the famous Sandals look, with the tower above the pool. This area is close to restaurants, and offers beautiful poolside cabanas.
Isn't that stunning? Even at night there is a beautiful view of the pool from one of the Great House restaurants. Along with this pool, there are many others scattered throughout the property, including one perfectly overlooking the ocean. Hello, swimming sans the salt water!
Now that you've seen a few of the gorgeous pools, let's skip to the beach! Like I mentioned, there are 3 beach areas at Sandals Ochi. There is Ochi Beach Club, which offers a party atmosphere with games, hoppin' bars, and more right on the beach, a "lounge" beach I call it, which offers a blocked offer area of the ocean where you can float away without literally floating away, and Honeymoon Beach, which is a quieter area where some of the water sports are located as well as candlelit dinners on the beach. Between the Ochi Beach & "lounge" beach areas there are also the Sandals' boats for water sports, a promenade with fire pits & seating, perfect for catching a sunset, and local artisans selling anything from shoes to paintings to conch shells. Now be prepared for photo overload of the gorgeous water!
I like to warn people that this resort is very large, however that means there is even more to keep you entertained during your stay. Sandals Ochi is a stunning resort, and truly hope you've enjoyed this first hand account of the resort. You can view more information on my Sandals & Beaches Resorts sites, and you can book your own trip there. But if you would like more one-on-one care, please contact me. I would love to help with your dream trip! I'll see you back next week with more on Sandals & Beaches Resorts in Jamaica.
Welcome back! I hope you enjoyed yesterday's post on Sandals Ochi Resort in the beautiful Ocho Rios, Jamaica! I'm excited to be back again with more details on the beautiful rooms offered at Ochi. There are 20 room categories at Sandals Ochi Resort including rooms, suites, and private villas, one of which was featured on The Bachelor (and I saw it with my own eyes!!). With so many room options, that leaves something for everyone--any occasion and many price points, it also helps that Sandals is always offering amazing deals on its resorts, making that famous Romeo & Juliet Suite from The Bachelor a real life possibility for your vacation!
During my stay at Sandals Ochi, I was lucky enough to enjoy the Butler Village Oceanview One Bedroom Poolside Villa Suite atop the Butler Village "mountain". Though it was aways from the ocean, it was a beautiful suite with quick access to the beach via shuttle & a semi-private pool. The smaller pool at the villa served 3 other suites (so 4 in total), but I never saw another soul around! So it could essentially be super private. I loved that this suite was nestled on a hillside among the trees and greenery, yet still had a view of the ocean in the distance. Here is a look at this fab villa suite.
A very similar villa to the one above is the Butler Village One Bedroom Poolside Villa Estate Suite. The pool for these villas serves 2 rooms rather than 4 like above. Here's a quick shot of the pool area.
I've saved "the big one" for last, the Butler Village Honeymoon Romeo & Juliet One Bedroom Suite with Private Pool, featured on a one-on-one date episode of The Bachelor. Ben Higgins & JoJo Fletcher stayed in this sweet little love nest, nestled on the hill at Sandals Ochi. This villa pulls out all of the stops, including a butler, just for you, that leaves no detail untouched! These villas include a living area, bedroom & bath, both separated by a stunning courtyard with a private pool. Take a look at this stunning room, and the beautiful touches left by the villas' butler.
If you're more into being close to the beach, Sandals Ochi still has plenty to offer! With a second section in The Caribbean Riviera area, Ochi many beachfront options. Even though Ochi is a large resort, this allows for rooms with tons of privacy and some among the action close to the beach. I've shared photo overload on Sandals Ochi, and still have a bit more to share tomorrow. So check back then for views of the amazing pools and stunning ocean & beach views.
You can view more information on my Sandals & Beaches Resorts sites. You can book your own trip there, or if you would like more one-on-one care, please contact me. I would love to help with your dream trip!
Welcome back! Time certainly got away from me yesterday with an afternoon dentist appointment. But the numbing finally wore off, and I'm excited to share more of my Jamaican adventure with you! As I mentioned the other day, I jet setted off to Jamaica at the end of August for an exciting training with Sandals & Beaches Resorts. I had an amazing, albeit tiring time touring several of their properties. It was so exciting to see these resorts in person, and get a better idea of where I'm sending my clients. It allows me to give first hand, seen with my own eyes information to give everyone the best romantic or family vacation as possible! Although I won't share every last detail, I do want to share the basics. I'm going to start with the resort I called home each night, and since I spent a lot of time there, I have broken it up into three separate posts. So if you are interested in more, be sure to check back! So I am going to start with the super popular Sandals Ochi in Ocho Rios, Jamaica!
This is one of Sandals largest properties, but that only means it has so, so much to offer! There are 20 room categories at Sandals Ochi including private villas, rooms, and suites, so there is literally something for everyone! Ochi offers over 100 pools and over 20 hot tubs all throughout this double sectioned resort. The resort is broken up into to parts with two spas and 17 dining options among the two areas. It also offers complimentary greens fees at Sandals Golf Course and Country Club nearby. This hopping resort also has rock climbing, multiple bars, including the only speakeasy in the Caribbean-password required for entry (so fun!), movies on the lawn, and numerous non-motorized water sports, all complimentary! As with all Sandals properties, they really went above and beyond with Ochi. Below are quite a few photos so you can see for yourself, and if you are interested in more details visit my Sandals website or contact me to book your own Ochi getaway or honeymoon! See you back later this week for a closer look at some of the AMAZING rooms, pools, and beaches at Sandals Ochi.
Hello there! Where in the world have I been you might be wondering. Well, it feels like everywhere! Since I last posted I've gone on my whirlwind trip to Jamaica, and it seems like I've been running around like a chicken with my head cut off ever since! I'm slowly but surely catching up on things, and finally have my thoughts and photos gathered to start sharing some new locales with you. First up? Jamaica! For the next month or so, I'll be sharing information on Sandals & Beaches resorts in Jamaica. These posts will be a bit different than my typical trip posts, since I gathered the photos and info on a business trip. But I trust you'll still love seeing the photos and using all the info to help with your vacation.
Sandals & Beaches Resorts. I'm excited to share that I am officially a Certified Sandals Specialist, and am ready to bring you the best service and deals to any Sandals & Beaches resort. Along with the training, we toured 7 properties in a matter of a couple of days! It was exhausting to say the least, but so exciting to be able to bring back this first hand knowledge to my clients. During the trip, I fell immensely in love with the Sandals brand, and all that they stand for. I'm going to have incorporate the brand into a major campaign I'll be having next month, and can't wait to share it with you!
One of the biggest things I've learning is during Daylight Savings Time, Jamaica is on Central Time. A huge perk for me being that we are Central Time at home. The changes in time zones are always a kicker when traveling. I didn't completely avoid a time change, however. Since there was not a direct flight from Dallas to suit my schedule, I had a layover in Miami, a one hour time difference from home. Though not a huge difference, it is easy to get mixed up. To keep my time on track when traveling, I do a few things. I always wear a watch, especially when flying and changing planes. I keep my watch on home time to keep up with when it is appropriate times to call home and keep up with flight times with originating and home flight times. Secondly, on my iPhone, I keep the Clock App with the World Clock handy. I enter in Dallas to show home time, my destination to keep up with its time, and any connecting airport I may be flying into. Essentially, I could do without the watch and just use the Clock App, but I like having the watch handy.
Arriving in Jamaica + Club MoBay
Upon my arrival at Sangster International Airport in Montego Bay, Jamaica, I was greeted by a friendly staff member of Club MoBay. Club MoBay, as well as Club Kingston (at the airport in Kingston), is an airport perk of Jamaica's airports. You purchase the package ahead of time. The package grants you expedited & escorted processing through customs and use of the club lounge. You can purchase an arrival, departing, or round trip package. I cannot recommend this enough! I never waited in line at customs, like at all, and the departure lounge was wonderful! If anything, I recommend the package for a time saver through customs. Your time should be spent on the beach, not the customs line! Note: if you are staying at Sandals or Beaches, you receive access to their airport lounge. However, I really do still recommend Club MoBay for the fast track through customs. If you are interested in the Club MoBay package for your Jamaican vacation, contact me, and we can get you set up.
With any location, I recommend arranging round-trip airport transportation prior to arrival. It can streamline your traveling, give you piece of mind, and helps keep during-travel-expenses to a minimum (I'm a pay as much as I can in advance kind of girl--less surprises that way). You'll also want to double check to see if your resort, if you are staying at one, offers airport shuttle service. Many all-inclusive resorts offer this service, so to keep you from paying extra for something you don't need, check with your resort. Of course, when you book travel with me, all of these things are lined out for you. ;) Now, while we are on the subject of airport to resort and back transportation, let's talk that Jamaican bus ride. I had quite the ride from Montego Bay to my resort in Ocho Rios. It wasn't a bad ride, bad driver by any means. It is just long & sometimes winding, especially in a bus. When making that ride, I highly recommend popping a motion sickness medicine like Dramamine to alleviate any sickness. You don't want to arrive in paradise sick as a dog. Also, be on the look out for goats, not that you could miss them, they are literally everywhere!
I know this sounds silly, but it is so super humid in Jamaica, especially in the summer months. Drinking lots and lots of water will help you keep in tip top shape while on your vacation. If you are outdoors a lot, which I hope you will be enjoying everything Jamaica has to offer, you will be sweating, a lot! Drink and keep lots of water with you at all times. Just thank me later!
This is obviously at tip for your return home, but it just might be the most important. Download the U.S. Customs and Border Protection app, Mobile Passport. This allows you to complete your customs forms on the app, then, well until this becomes the streamlined norm, puts you in a line for "mobile app" users at customs. You bypass completing the paper form, bypass the kiosks, and bypass that long line, heading straight for the customs agent. Though the U.S. Customs line runs fairly quickly, you really never know! Though you may not always be as luck as I was, this app at least puts you ahead of the game in waiting. Of course this app is good from any destination you are coming from, not just Jamaica, when entering the U.S. Download it, and, again, thank me later!
Hopefully these tips will help you with your Jamaican vacation, as well as other Caribbean destinations. As always, if you are antsy to plan your vacation, give me a shout, and we can get started on booking your dream trip! You can also view more information on the resorts I visited on my Sandals & Beaches Resorts sites. See you back again soon with more details on my trip to Jamaica!
