One of the specific spots I was so excited to go back to in Las Vegas was a fab "secret garden" in the Bellagio Resort & Casino. Before our first visit to Vegas, I had no idea this even existed. But our stay at the Bellagio introduced us to this stunning spot. While finding our room, we stumbled upon the amazing Bellagio Conservatory, a huge indoor garden conservatory with a stunning glass ceiling. It is truly spectacular spot, and is a must see. It is one of my top recommended Las Vegas attractions. What makes it even better? It is FREE to visit.
I thoroughly enjoyed our second visit there as it was different this go round. The hotel changes out the theme each season. I've added it to my bucket list to see this during the holidays! This trip did not disappoint. In fact, I think it was even better! We ventured here one evening, and the glass & iron ceiling is even more stunning at night! This past Spring's theme was a Japanese garden theme with beautiful Japanese Cherry Blossom Trees and embroidered umbrellas cascading from the ceiling. It was truly stunning. Take a look, and tell me what you think!
Absolutely incredible right!? The photos do not even do it justice, so I hope you'll add it to your bucket list for someday! I would love to help you make that dream come true. Our first trip to Sin City was a whirlwind weekend where we were thrust into a huge theme park on crack! Ha! Our days spent wandering up and down Las Vegas Boulevard in an alternate universe where all the beautiful places in the world were placed all in one fabulous, over the top strip. By the end of the journey, we had trotted all over the globe.
We ventured to a tropical oasis, Polynesian paradise, Rome, Venice, New York, New Orleans, Paris, Egypt, and beyond! Some resorts and attractions even took us back in time to the days of pirates and knights. We essentially traveled around the world in just one day. Now, of course, these resorts do not even compare to the real deal, but my are they fun! Las Vegas is a whole culture in and of it's own, and to see all of these resorts, each with their own distinct look & culture, replicated in one place was magnificent. Combined with the glitz & glam of the bright lights, all of these resorts together make up their own incredible must see destination. A destination where you can see just about the whole world in one day. So let's take trip around the world...
The Pyramids of Giza at The Luxor
Medieval Castles at Excalibur
Mardi Gras + New Orleans at Harrah's
Lady Liberty at New York, New York
The Eiffel Tower at Paris
A Pirate's Ship at Treasure Island
Rome at Caesars Palace
A Tropical Oasis at the Flamingo
Spectacular Ceiling Murals & Gondola Ride at The Venetian
A Polynesian Paradise at The Mirage
Las Vegas offers these themed resorts & casinos and SO many more! It is such an incredible city that I think everyone should visit at list once. There is truly something for everyone in Vegas, and I'd love to help you plan your own trip around the world. Hello there! I hope you've been off traveling the world or enjoying your world right at home. I've been insanely busy, which turned into an involuntary hiatus from blogging. But I've spent the last week or so preparing a ton of photos, ideas, and posts to share with you. I want to start right where I left off traveling wise, Las Vegas. We spent a week in Vegas back in April, and had an amazing time. This was our second visit to Vegas, and it was even better than the last. The next few weeks I'll be sharing more in depth, so for today, I want to share the highlights from our trip.
Even among a sea of people, in a bustling, glamorous locale, we are completely alone. Belonging only to one another without the distractions of everyday life and commitments--work and home (i.e. cleaning, cooking, laundry, home repairs, car repairs, yard work, emails, insane work schedules, the list goes on). We are free to give each other our undivided attention and explore the world together. I love how no matter where we go, it always ends up being some grand adventure. Our second visit to Las Vegas was no exception.
Along with taking in the city lights and the glitz & the glam, we adventured to new heights and speeds. We spent our days exploring and relaxing, and our nights taking in the bright lights and fabulous shows. We enjoyed delicious desserts, and laughed about the worst meal we'd ever had. I longed for our room from our first stay in Vegas, but took full advantage of the amenities around us. We browsed museums, learning so much along the way, and explored the lost loves of the strip. We ventured to the Valley of Fire in a fancy 'Vette, and strolled through a small town that is "the Home of the Hoover Dam." We soared above the city in a hot air balloon, and took in close up views in the High Roller. We kissed at the famous fountain show, and walked what seemed like a million miles hand in hand.
Above all, we saw more of this amazing world than we had before, and spent the best days together. And that's what it's all about.
More coming soon. For now, enjoy these highlights.
