Happy Friday y’all! Can you believe this is the last weekend in April!?! That’s a third of the year already gone! I say this every month, but I don’t know how this happens—time just flies by. I am excited that it is Friday though. I’m looking forward to a low-key weekend. However, today is all about the holiday hustle and bustle of New York City. I’m going to share some of my favorite holiday store windows and store fronts in New York during December.
Strolling around the city during the holidays, you are sure to spot some amazing, over the top holiday windows. In fact, it is what many stores are known for in New York during the holiday season. Our hotel gave us this cute little guide to some of the most popular store fronts along 5th Avenue, among other areas. Following the guide, we enjoyed experiencing an Enchanted Winter Forest at Lord & Taylor, a spectacular light show at Saks Fifth Avenue, and the Aurora Borealis at Bloomingdale’s.
Our last holiday store stop was at Macy’s Herald Square where we were greeted by Virginia and her story depicted in the store’s front windows. Yes, Virginia is a sweet story of a girl’s faith in Santa Claus. If you have little ones, it is a great book and movie to look into. Anyway, after checking out the windows, we had to venture inside. For me, the neatest thing at Macy’s Herald Square is the incredible wooden escalator. Quite amazing that it is still functioning today! The holiday area of Macy’s is always a treat to visit, and I can’t help but go a little overboard with ornaments. :)
There are so many beautifully decorated holiday store windows in New York. You’ll definitely want to watch for them while you are walking around the city.
Thank you so much for stopping by today. I hope you have a great weekend
